Under the bonnet, the GT12 runs a DAF MX11 engine producing 450 brake horsepower, paired with a ZF fully automatic gearbox and ZF steering and drive axles. In plain terms, it’s smooth, quiet, and powerful enough to handle motorway cruising and Highland A-roads with equal ease.

The suspension is full air with an Electronically Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS) system and a kneeling function, which lowers the coach at the door for easier boarding. That’s particularly useful for passengers with reduced mobility, older group members, or anyone carrying luggage.

With 8.5 cubic metres of luggage space in the hold, there’s room for suitcases, golf bags, musical instruments, sports kit, or whatever your group needs to bring along. For day trips, that space is more than generous. For multi-day tours with overnight bags, it handles a full coach load without anyone having to keep luggage in the cabin.

And the tinted double-glazed windows deserve a mention. They keep the interior cool in summer and reduce road noise, which makes a noticeable difference on longer journeys. The views from inside are excellent without the glare.

This is something we’re particularly pleased about. The GT12 is fully PSVAR compliant, which means it meets the Public Service Vehicles Accessibility Regulations. It comes with a wheelchair lift, floor mountings for wheelchair securing, and is prewired for a hearing loop.
