I have just finished entertaining some international colleagues from our business in Taiwan and had the pleasure of meeting up again with Ian and Bill who were our drivers through the course of the week. As you are no doubt aware, our business is always eager to host our key markets in our heartland and so the importance of ensuring a seamless and enjoyable visit is of paramount importance. Part of that experience is with our travel arrangements and I would like to complement not only your business and the excellent condition of the coaches but especially both Bill and Ian as our drivers. This week Bill was occupied more with us but I have past experience with Ian – two individuals who continually ‘go the extra mile’ to ensure we are all relaxed and comfortable and who both accommodate our needs (which tend to change!) throughout any contracted periods. I always feel that in today’s world many people tend to find it easier to criticise and avoid praise – in every instance with your business, I cannot offer you higher praise and recommendation. I am writing to you today to thank you for assigning Mr. Robert Cunningham to us as our tour bus driver. We were a party of eight. Two senior citizens, Three adults, and three teens. Mr. Cunningham was a fabulous choice for us…..he was amazing in his talents as a driver on the congested roads of Scotland. He was so caring and gentlemanly in assisting the ladies as well as the teens. He was also able to add to our Guides’ remarks when the situation called for it. We were delighted to have his calming presence as he navigated this winding roads of the Highlands and driving the bus onto the Ferry to the Isle of Skye. Scottish War Blinded Veterans participated in a group tour of the Normandy battlefields in September 2016. Thanks to the work of Ecosse Battlefield Tour guides and Hire Society Coaches, the tour proved a great success. Ecosse sought information on those travelling and carried out research about our D Day veterans and their regiments. They were able to tailor the tour to ensure our members were able to get the most out of their experience.

The battlefield tour was just amazing. I was really impressed with everything on the tour. The accommodation was lovely. High expectations were surpassed. Museum, battlefield site and memorial visits gave a poignant insight into the events of this period. What made this holiday different was the flexibility and willingness of the guide to make this a truly personal experience which enabled me to visit my grandad's grave. All of this together with an en-route pick up/drop off, excellent guide and friendly driver from Hire Society marked this out as a holiday to remember.
